Makena State Beach aka "Big Beach" is a large
stretch of beach on the south side of Maui
and is regarded as the "best beach" since it
is quiet with no developments nearby.

"Big Beach" is also next to "Little Beach" the
"nude beach" area of the Maui Island and the
area is known for amazing beauty and tranquility.

Big Beach is 1.5 miles (2.4 km) long
and more than 100 feet (30 m) wide.
